Malynovska K. Quality of life, work capacity, myocardial reserve and approaches to their increasing in pregnant women with congenital heart disease

The dissertation was dedicated to study work capacity, course of pregnancy, development of complications and to propose the recommendations in order to decrease and prevent disturbances. Life quality, psychological state, structural and functional indexes of heart by echocardiography in 109 pregnant women with congenital heart disease and 42 healthy pregnant women were studied. Tolerance to physical load was estimated with 6-minute walking test and bicycle exercise. High significant correlation between indexes of loading tests was found. On the results of 6-minute walking test additional cardiac criteria for labor and delivery were established. Individual physical training regimens in addition to drug therapy and psychological relaxation in order to correct existed lesions were recommended. Such approaches allowed to increase tolerance to physical load, quality of life and to decrease cardiac, obstetrical and perinatal complications.
