Tehlivets Y. Compound names with the seme "water" in the contemporary Ukrainian scientific-technical terminology.

The thesis is dedicated to the structural-semantic aspect of the terms-word combinations with the seme 'water'. The seme approach to the analysis of the compound terms on the basis of the component analysis has been applied for the first time. The peculiarities of the lexical-semantic field 'water' and functioning of the seme 'water' have been characterized. The peculiarities of analytical structure construction have been considered. The main structural models have been described. The problems of the internal form of the compound terms with the metaphorized meaning has been resolved, the role of the notion of the connotation in the semantic of the terms-word combinations.
