Research object - lateral extrusion process for obtaining axisymmetrical workpieces; research aim - extended technological potential of the cold lateral extrusion process for obtaining axisymmetrical workpieces with a flange on the basic of the improved method for finding rational parameters of the extrusion process with backpressure; research methods - analytical, experimental, experimental-and-computational; theoretical and practical results - for the process of lateral extrusion with backpressure it has been determined how the technological plasticity of workpiece material depends on the properties of the material creating backpressure and on the configuration of the chamber where this material is extruded, procedure for the approximation of boundary deformation surfaces is proposed, recommendations have been worked out for designing lateral extrusion processes with back pressure for obtaining parts having the required technological in heritance; implementation scope - within the given franch; sphere of application - machinebuilding.
