Essay

The thesis is devoted to studying the assortment of Ukrainian and foreign varieties of sweet pepper and to estimation of effective technological methods of sweet pepper growing in the central part of Right-bank Forest-steppe zone of Ukraine without irrigation. The growing of sweet pepper seedling in cassettes with cells size 8x8 and 5x5 cm at plants age 50-60 days, and provided the increase of the productivity by 5,7%. During 2001-2005 years the higher productivity is achieved in variants of wide-row schemes of plants arrangement - 16,8 t/ha (70x20 cm - 71,4x103 plants/ha), 18,6 t/ha (70x15 cm - 95,2 4x103 plants/ha). The planting of seedlings at the early term (10.05) resulted increasing of early harvest to 15% of total ones. The highest productivity provided such sorts of sweet pepper: Podarok Moldovy, Obriy and Lastochka
