Object - the originality of the creative Bible interpretation in works by V. Drozd, R. Ivanychuk, K. Motrych in the context of the literary process of the second half of the XX th centure; aim - to reveal and to characterize the prepotent features of the biblical intertext in works by V. Drozd, R. Ivanychuk, K. Motrych, to discover functional and aesthetic characteristic of it; methods - descriptive, germenevtic, intertextive; novelty - for the first time V. Drozd's, R. Ivanychuk's, K. Motrych's works are examined from the position of the biblical intertext. It reveals functional and aesthetic characteristics of their works; results - V. Drozd's, R. Ivanychuk's, K. Motrych's works are interpreted in their correlation and interaction with Holy Scripture, the specificity of functioning biblical plots and characters in a new cultural and historical period,the attempt to elucidate a question of categorical and terminological apparatus is made, the causes of great interest to the biblical themes are investigated in the literature consciousness from antiquity to nowadays
