Shypunov G. Theoretical and methodological grounds of the modern authoritarianism analysis (as exemplified by Russia and Belarus).

The main approaches towards conceptualisation of hybrid regimes have been analysed and systematized, the author's definition of this notion has been provided, the main indicators identifying a certain regime as belonging to the category of hybrid ones have been distinguished, and the author's methods of these indicators calculation have been developed. On the basis of the developed theoretical and methodological pattern the complex analysis of peculiarities of political regimes functioning in Russia over the period of V.Putin's presidency, and in Belarus during A.Lukashenko's governing has been carried out. According to the analysis results the above mentioned regimes have been respectively defined as the semiauthoritarian regime and the regime of authoritarian situation.
