Object – process of general physics study by students of technical colleges. The purpose – creation of scientific methods of control of students' cognitive activity at general physics study in conditions of credit-modular system where the special attention will be given self-checking. The methods of control of students' cognitive activity are developed because of specification of cognitive process sequence at studying physics. The methods are applied to educational process at modernization of the general physics chair to conditions of credit-modular system.
