Mytrofanova O. Semantic and syntactical structure of the sentences with verbal predicates of movement and transference

The object of the study is simple sentences with verbal predicates of movement and transference. The purpose is to investigate semantic-syntactic structure of sentences with verbal predicates of movement and transference, analyze the influence of semantics of predicate upon semantic-syntactic structure of the sentence. The methods used in the study comprise analysis of definitions, differences, components, valency, descriptive and functional-typological analyses. The scientific novelty lies in contribution to the development of sentence theory; semantic sub-groups of verbal predicates of movement and transference, their typological lexical-semantic characteristics were singled out and described; hierarchy of components in semantic-syntactic structure of sentences with verbal predicates of movement and transference was established. Practical value - results of the study can be used for writing comprehensive functional and functional-communicative grammars, compiling different types of dictionaries, writing textbooks on syntax of modern Ukrainian language.
