Konoplenko N. Semantic Structure and Functioning of Sounding Verbs

The object of the study is parceling constructions as elements of text-forming mechanism that provide semantic coherence of text and adequate realization of communicative intention. The purpose is to investigate the laws parceling constructions as purely textual formations follow in their manifestation and functioning, to establish their text-forming potential. The methods used in the study comprise descriptive, distributive, contrastive, transformational analyses. The scientific novelty lies in the new approach to the phenomenon of parceling as a unit of syncretic plan combining traits of sentence and text functioning in Ukrainian publicistic texts. Theoretical value - results of the study contribute to understanding the text as component of communication. Practical value - generalizations, results, material of the study can be used in writing academic works on expressive syntax, text linguistics, and stylistics. Field is philology.
