Bazylevych V. Architectural Ironwork in forming palace architecture of the XVIIIth - XIXth cc. of Lviv.

This PhD thesis is devoted to the analysis of the results of the previous researches in the area of the use of Architectural Ironwork in palace architecture. Using the elaborated research methodology the author defines common European and regional conditions; besides period systematization has been done and different ranges, ways, and rules in the use of Architectural Ironwork in palace architecture of the XVIIIth - XIXth cc. in Lviv have been characterized. In addition, there have been found out the external and inner reasons, the inner interaction with Architectural Ironwork of the other types of the city buildings at the end of the XVIIIth-XIXth cc. Furthermore, the author describes the peculiarities of the use of Architectural Ironwork in comparison with the palaces of Vienna, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, and Warsaw of the same historical period. Moreover, there have been determined the chronology end the scales of Architectural Ironwork reconstructions during the XXth century. Finally, methodology of Architectural Ironwork designing in historically formed surroundings was worked out.
