Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the research of the problem of students' preparation for teaching social sciences at secondary educational institutions. In the research it is first elaborated, scientifically grounded and experimentally tested the model of preparation of future school social science teacher.The model is based upon interrelation of specified purposual, contented, motivational and cultural components; principles of content selection and appreciation of this process; the structure and contents of future social science teachers' preparation are elaborated. The positions of pedagogical sciences of teachers' professional preparation acquired a further development that guarantee high level of the school social science teaching. The results of the research may be used in the process of students' preparation at higher pedagogical educational institutions, in practical work of teachers, on the professional improvement courses of pedagogical workers, in the system of after graduate education, whilecreating new teaching programmes, and while writing text-books and manuals for secondary educational institutions.
