Zhovkva O. Principles of architectural and planning decisions of orthodox theological educational institutions

The object of the research is orthodox theological educational institutions (OTEI) such as: academies, theological seminaries, schools, centers. The purpose of dissertation is defining the principles of architectural planning and spatial decisions of OTEI, drafting practical recommendations and designing methodic. The methods are use of system approach, comparative analysis, natural inspection of orthodox theological educational institutions and holding questionnaire poll. The scientific novelty of research lies in proposing the formation of new types of public buildings (orthodox theological educational centers); presenting the classification of OTEI buildings and introducing the basic nomenclature of OTEI types; defining the principles of architectural planning and spatial decisions of OTEI. The results of research – own basics of OSEI designing methodic, architectural and planning schemes, nomenclature of rooms are presented by the author. The main provisions of the dissertation were implementedinto the project decisions and educational process.
