Tarnavsky, S. Majdanska, G. Pagutjak, B. Bojchuk, Yu. Izdryk et al. The main features of the intellectual prose artistic concept are examined with the special focus on the authorial concept, the artistic worldview, intermixture of real and unreal, the blend of irrational and rational. The specificity of the literary texts imagery is defined, most vividly manifesting itself through a hero-concept, the last expressing the author's worldview. It is the hero-concept that both helps to exhaustingly reveal the concept worked out by the author and reflects the complicated mechanism of creation of the personality's inner world, the process dominated by the value system of culture. The core value of the prose works can be revealed through the conceptual images decoding as well as by means of intertextuality which build the intellectual prose in the cultural context (specifically, art and philosophy). The dissertation develops a theoretical footing of topical questions dealing with the intellectual prose definition, enquires into its specificity and peculiarities, works out terminology and methodology relevant to the theme of the study.
