Essay

The dissertation covers theoretical and methodological aspects of the aggregate supply analysis. Works of prominent economists who contributed to the study of the aggregate supply and demand are summarized. Peculiarities of aggregate supply in command, market and transitional economies are considered. Output collapse during the early stages of transition is investigated in the context of aggregate supply factors. The effects of supply factors and macroeconomic policies on the dynamics of the aggregate supply in Ukraine are estimated. The dissertation considers perspectives and suggests necessary improvements for the stable aggregate supply growth in Ukraine.
