Nikolchenko M. Literary work of Vyacheslav Potapenko (the evolution of problems and poetics)

The author in the thesis profoundly summarizes literary work of V.Potapenko in XIX-XX centuries, that was not practically studied by critics and are still unknown to the reader. For the first time in Ukrainian literature the researcher makes an attempt to restore the author's creative and life experience.The thesis reveals ideological basis of the writer's literary work, investigates genre and composition peculiarities of V.Potapenko's prosaic and drama heritage, defines the most effective features of figurativeness, means of characters' drawing, determines the role of the writer, playwright and publicist in the process of development of Ukrainian literature at the end of XIX - the first decades of XX century. The thesis mainly contains the author's manuscripts.
