Prysiazhniuk O. Poem genre in works by Dmytro Pavlychko.

The dissertation is devoted to the study of problem/thematic and genre/stylistic specifics of Pavlychko poems. Using various literary study methods, the author analyzes ideological and esthetical quest of the poet in the poem genre, determines typological specifics of genre-related nature of his poems and their significance in the literature process of the newest era. The thesis work traces philosophical and psychological foundation of Pavlychko poems and studies the influence of Ukrainian classic writers - Taras Shevchenko, Ivan Franko, Maksym Rylsky - on the formation of literary worldview and style of the master. Pavlychko poems are examined in the context of development of Ukrainian poetry in the 20th century, in particular the poet's contemporaries - Mykola Bazhan, Borys Oliynyk, Lina Kostenko.
