Sirota Y. Russian-language prose of Y.P. Hrebinka in the context of Russian literature of 1830-1840th.

The thesis is devoted to the research of features of Y.P. Hrebinka's Russian-language prose. His prose is analyzed in full, as a system with emphasis on poetics and with distinguishing of such thematic groups as the Ukrainian theme, the theme of province, the theme of Petersburg. Y.P. Hrebinka's Russian-language works of art are studied for the first time on large material, in a context and in close connections with Russian literature of 30-40th of the 19th century, in particular with works of Y.A. Baratynsky, F.V. Bulgarin, J.P. Butkov, M.V. Gogol, V.I. Dal', M.M. Zagoskin, M.Y. Lermontov, V.F. Odoyevsky, A.S. Pushkin V.O. Sollogub etc. In the thesis those prose works of writer are considered, which before were not researched in a contextual aspect or were not studied at all. Typological similarities and intertextual connections between prose works of Y.P. Hrebinka and works of other Russian writers are investigated in the dissertation. Peculiarities of influence of folk and historical sources on writer's works are analyzed Thought that Y.P. Hrebinka was the typical representative of romantic direction in literature is emphasized in the dissertation. His prose is closely connected with traditions of Russian literature and left an outstanding sign in its development.
