Kobchenko N. Grammatical characteristic of free unit in the structure of simple sentence

The specific of one of the form of subordinate syntactic connection – free unit is described in the thesis. The syntactic approach is being used to the qualification of the types of syntactic connection and their forms, from the ground of which the traditional understanding of concept „free unit” is revised, the boundaries of its widening are corrected and its status in the system of syntactic connections of contemporary Ukrainian language is determined, the criteria of differentiation of a weak government and a free unit in a case manifestation are substantiated. The formal-structural models of constructions, in which the subordinate syntactic connection is realized in the form of free unit, are described, and also the type of semantic-syntactic relations, which appear in these constructions, is retraced. Special attention is given to the analysis free unit in a case manifestation, the conditions of free unit of every case with syntactic dominant are characterized. Nuclear, semi nuclear, semi periphery and periphery zones of function of the free unit are singled out.
