Lytvynska S. Oleksii Kolomiiets' drama: problems and poetics

The thesis sets out Oleksii Kolomiiets' creative work. The research covers the analysis of all his drama works' problems without the ideological misrepresentation and prejudice, comprehension of their genre specific character, leading means of image- and character creation, originality of plays' architectonics, the elements of modernist stylistics, description of different types of conflicts and methods of plot conflicts formation, the use of psychological methods, lyric and epic origin. The research reveals the investigation of Oleksii Kolomiiets' drama genre and stylistic features in artistic system discourse of Neoromanticism, Сlassical Realism and Modernism. O.Kolomiiets' is recognized to use unusual features of socialist realism and stylistic synthesis. His works contributed to Ukrainian drama revival. In the scientific discourse Oleksii Kolomiiets' is characterized as an active drama-innovator, who undermined principles of socialist realism and continued cultural traditions of Ukrainian people and World Art. The thesis proves that O.Kolomiiets' revived connections, forcibly undermined by totalitarian system between Ukrainian drama-innovators' generations. His basic innovations were realized and enriched by "New wave" playwrights.
