The dissertation is dedicated to the investigation in the field of grading achievements of pupils in the process of studying physical geography in the basic secondary school. The state of the problem under investigation is analized‚besides‚the analysis of the literary resources in the field of testing pupils’ achievements is given; the division of methods in testing is improved, and the methods of their using are substantiated; the effectiveness of the elaborated grading methodology is practically tested; methodical bases are theoretically substantiated and the model of grading knowledge and skills of pupils in geography is elaborated.
