Essay

The conception of landscape approach to the investigation of the resource basis of tourist-recreational branch is grounded. Seven segments of tourist-recreational activity (TRA) are singled out. It was defined the notion of "tourist-recreational landscape" and worked out its hierarchic structure. The regularities in the distribution of tourist-recreational resources in the landscapes were analysed. The areas of expansion of corresponding resources were singled out. The analysis of possible specialization of TRA was performed.
