Plakhotnikov I. Substantiation of the Efficacy of Unstretching Techniques in Treatment of Groin Hernias in Old and Senile Patients (Clinical and Experimental Study)

Object – inguinal hernias in patients of elderly age with accompanied pathology and experimental animals (rats – males), aim – to improve results of inguinal hernias treatment in patients of elderly age on the basis of reparative processes disturbances by means of tenseless techniques usage with propylene net pretreatment by autofibroblasts culture, methods – clinical, laboratory, experimental, histological, instrumental, statistical; newelty – dynamics of wound process course has been observed in the experiment, rates of postoperative wound healing and formation of connective tissue cicatrix have been estimated, surgical treatment technique of inguinal hernias with usage of aloplastic repair by propylene net with its pretreatment by fibroplasts culture has been worked out, prognostic negative peculiarities of wound process course has been determined in surgical treatment of inguinal hernias in patients of elderly age; results – increase in wound healing rate, reduction of terms of inpatient ( on average in 6.9 days in comparison with conservative surgical methods and in 2.2 days in comparison with traditional Lichtenstein’s method) and outpatient treatment (on average in 8.5 and 2.1 days, respectively); it has been itroduced into medical practice and studying process; sphere – medicine.
