Object is mass media as an institute of the political system; the aim is evaluation of degree of mass media influencing on the political system transformation process and forming of political orientations in the society; methods – system, structural-functional, comparative, dialectical, historical, normative-valued and civilization approach, scientific-wide methods; novelty –influencing of mass media on the political transformations in the society on the basis of analysis of communication processes models is complex explored; results – situations when mass media change its functions in the political system are defined and explored their reasons; it is introduced in a research sphere, educational courses on political science; fields - vocational training, the theory of politics, political practice.
