Shkarban V. Diagnostic, treatment and prophylaxis of acute cholangitis in patients with choledocholithiasis

The work is devoted to the problem of acute cholangitis in choledocholitiasis diagnostic and treatment. The paper is based on investigation and treatment data of 137 patients with acute cholangitis in choledocholithiasis. Diagnostic algorithm which allows identifying acute cholangitis and determining optimal therapeutic approach in maximally short terms according to evaluation of patient's general condition severity by adapted APACHE II scale has been introduced based on conducted researches. Effectiveness of proposed two-stage tactics of surgical treatment with minimally invasive technologies utilization has been proven. New schemes of antibacterial therapy of patients with acute cholangitis and its complications have been proposed.
