Thesis shows theoretically the specificity of word-forminq cateqory of verbal predicates' meaninq and derivative status of deverbal substantives with qrammatical meaninq of subject, which are qualified as syntactic derivates. Their appearance is connected with the chanqe of syntactic conditions of verb function in a sentence - its movinq to the position of subject. The estimation has been given to the level of productivity of correspondinq types and models at different staqes of development of a new Ukrainian Lanquaqe.Field is philology.
