The thesis is devoted to the problem of improving efficiency of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of Genital Herpetic Infection Subject to the peculiarities of pathogenesis, chronic recurring disease progress and elimination of any disease spreading factors. A rather high rate of recurring genital herpes and a trend of growth thereof were identified among the inhabitants of Kyiv. In terms of age, most of persons infected with recurring genital herpes were young people of reproductive age, where the number of women was much higher than that of men. It was found out that the frequency and severity of the recurring genital herpes acute conditions are caused by the mix of infection impacts of urogenital tract, and the range of risk factors, including failure to administer barrier contraceptives when having sexual contacts, frigorism, nervous and psychological stress, alcohol consumption. There was a rational method of general clinic, laboratory and special examination of patient infected with recurringgenital herpes, and the principle of the treatment efficiency control was suggested. The improved and pathogenically substantiated (short term and extended) programs of combined recurring genital herpes therapy were for different stages of the disease progress. Undertaking of the suggested short term antivirus therapy using valacyclovir preparation as combined with an immunity protector, i.e., cagocel peroration facilitate acceleration of reducing the clinical implications of recurring genital herpes. Application of the extended cure using the relevant etiotropic and immunolycorrective therapy at the stage of disease remission allows reduction of the recurrences number and the severity of implications thereof, as well as reduces the risk of sexual partners' infection. There was a set of preventive measures developed in order to prevent spreading of recurring genital herpes.
