Essay

The thesis is an actual politological research of realization of Ukrainian strategy as to European integration in the context of its relations with Russian Federation. The author studies the concept of expanding and deepening integrational ties in the European continent during system transformations in post bipolar period, defines European Union's approaches as to the place of Ukraine in its eastern - european policy and analyses the state and prospectives of European Union's partnership with Russian Federation.This thesis analyses the activity of Ukraine as to the implementation of the strategy of European integration and joining United Europe in the Treaty on partnership and cooperation of EU with Ukraine, defines the components of success and reasons for failures in reaching concrete goals on the way to strategic objectives. It defines the necessity of correcting the strategic course of Kyiv in conditions of some strategic pause of European Union movement after its latest expansion and searching ofmeans for a bigger manoeuvre of Ukraine as a powerful part of European continent.Evolution of paradigma of interrelation of Kyiv and Moscow in the context of the formation of a new system of relations is analysed, components of success of integrational strategy of Ukraine in vector of general European area are defind. Factors of the concept of Great Europe which is defined not only by territorial geographical limits but by economic resources and socio - cultural components as well is researched.The concept of Great Europe has to return to Ukraine its natural place in the centre of general European processes and to enhance the probability of reaching strategic objectives.
