Essay

The objects are the prose literary tales by Russian writers of the XIX century. The aims are to define the forms of implementation of the author's position in a literary tale of the XIX century and to verificate its connections with other genres, to categorize the prosaic literary tale and to define the major features of its poetic. The methods are comparative, narratology, biographic; a system approach. The dissertation is devoted to the research of the forms of expressing author's position in prose literary tales by Russian writers in the 30's-50's of the XIX century. The authorized prose fairy tales by V. Dal, O. Somov, S. Aksakov, V. Odoevsky, A. Pogorelsky, N. Vagner have been analysed and the common features of a literary tale with its poetic manner as a genre of the above mentioned period have been brought out. This research has given the ability to single out different types of narration in works of such genre, to define the author as an important center and embodiment of active energy. The problem of the author and his consciousness, different types of narration in the tales under discussion have been researched. It is pointed out that the study of the forms of the author's consciousness in a literary tale where the author's presence helps to define the border between a folk and literary tale is very important.
