Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the issue of improving effectiveness of early neonatal infection treatment with newborn through improving its diagnostics considering factors of its development, indicators of inflammatory response of the body and clinical manifestations of organ dysfunction. Upon analyzing complex examination results of 36 newborn with verified early neonatal infection and 64 children with the disproved one, diagnostic value of such indicators while tracing early neonatal infection has been studied. It's been observed that most results of complex examination of children are precise enough at low sensibility as diagnostic tests for tracing early neonatal infection. It gives reasons to state that even results of complex examination of newborn with assumed early neonatal infection can be used for determining their presence , and as a result, prescribing antibiotics, but not their cancellation. Thus, at the discriminant point of over 60 pkg./ml. interleicin-6 was sensible to early neonatal infection in 22,6 % and precise in 84,6%. Interleukin-8 at the discriminant point exceeding 70 pkg./ml. gave 34,5% and 69,8% correspondingly, and the C-reactive protein with concentration over 60mg./l-31,2% and 83,8% correspondingly.
