The author provides civil research of the legal nature of preferential rights and study out theirs characteristics analyzing theoretical works and provisions of legislation in force. The classification of preferential rights is stated. The grounds of establishment, arise and termination of preferential rights are explored. The problem aspects of realization and protection of preferential rights and also responsibility for their violation are examined.
