The subject of inquiry - the process of rod rolling on wire mills equipped with standard finishing roll; the aim of inquiry - to master energy-efficient and resource-saving technology of rod rolling of stable accuracy and extended grade assortment on the basis of the improvement of break-down pass calculation method by means of the development and taking into account the criterion of energy efficiency of calibers metal forming and the criterion of optimum temperature and speed conditions; methods of inquiry - theoretical investigations are fulfilled on the basis of analytical methods of mathematical analysis and fundamental statements of the theory of metal plastic working and plasticity; equipment - experimental investigation is done on the basis of strain measurement and planimetry methods; theoretical and practical results -we've pioneered to get the expressions of criterion of energy efficiency of calibers metal forming at break-down pass rolling that are the ratio of plastic deformation behaviorspent on a bar lengthening to the total behavior spent on lengthening and widening; the degree of introduction - according to the results of introduction of the improved rolling technology and roll calibration on 150 Joint Stock Companies "MMW" mill we've got the factual economic effect 883687,5 hrn (a share of the competitor 249457 hrn); the sphere of usage - section and wire rolling mills of metallurgical enterprises.
