The dissertation is devoted to the study of psychological potential of the culture-oriented education of senior pupils of the foreign language. Effective psychological and pedagogical principles of the culture-oriented education of senior pupils of the foreign language are developed in this work: a) principle of involving of senior pupils in the general cultural values of people whose language is studied; b) principle of taking into consideration peculiarities of the mother tongue; c) principle of formation of socio-cultural competence; g) principle of formation of foreign communicative jurisdiction; d) principle of active communication; e) principle of multidimensionalness of the model of communication; f) principle of formation of personal socio-cultural experience. It is shown that the organization of the culture-oriented creative activity by a teacher stimulates the increasing of pupils foreign language skills' level as well as the increasing of the cognitive complication of pupils' personality andenriching of its valued-semantic sphere.
