Cherniy V. Sheep scab (Psoroptes ovis) (distribution, diagnostics and methods of control)

The material concerning the spreading of sheep scab (Psoroptes ovis) in Odesskaya Oblast are presented. The development of this dangerous disease during the calendar year in the conditions of separate farms. The development of the sheep scab in dependence of the level of skin sheep disease. For the first time in Ukraine the diagnostics of the sheep scab has been carried out by ELISA. This method has proved the 100 % efficiency even on early stages of this disease. The high efficiency of the preparations from the macrocyclic lactones group in sheep scab treatment has been proved. The high efficiency of the brovermectine-granulate in the treatment of mixed helminthological diseases of sheep has been noted (sheep scab and dyctiocaulosis). The metabolic, morphological and biochemical changes of blood in the sheep's organism in the sheep scab treatment (psoroptes ovis) by the preparations from the macrocyclic lactones group have been investigated. The low toxic action of them on the animals has been noted.The changes of some enzymes activity (aspartateaminotransferase, alaninaminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, amylase, glutamiltranspeptidase) have been established.
