Essay

Aim of the dissertation is to explore the role of the ionizing radiation exposure in clean-up workers of the Chernobyl accident of 1986-1987 with mean equivalent doses from 0.17 to 0.98 Sv; clean-up workers of 1986-1987 evacuated from the 30-km zone and later exposed during the shiff work with total doses оf 0.23-0.91 Sv; evacuees from Prypyat with doses of 1.4-252 Sv; inhabitans of contaminated territories: zone III-d with mean doses 8,29 mSv, zone IV-d with mean doses 5,09 mSv. At clinical-epidemiological study of dose-dependent increase of chronic hepatitis rates was shown in clean-up workers during the first 5 years after exposure at dose limits of 50-500 mSv and above 500 mSv. Elevated risks of IR were demonstrated in exposed over 400 mSv along with the influence of traditional natural history factors. For the first time a dependence was shown between the dose of exposhure, morbility, natural history and age of patients.
