Essay

The thesis deals with the problem of investigating the psychological and pedagogical conditions of future translators’ linguistic thinking development. The general characteristics of translator’s professional activity and the psychological mechanisms of its developing and performing have been analyzed. The linguistic thinking essence and structure have been concretized and defined. On the basis of the theoretical investigation of linguistic thinking features and the peculiarities of future translators’ mental operations development in the process of foreign language mastering the psychological and pedagogical conditions of future translators’ linguistic thinking development have been determined, substantiated theoretically and examined experimentally. The practical recommendations for foreign language teachers of higher educational establishments on the rise of future translators’ linguistic thinking development have been worked out.
