Salo V. Internal functions of the state under conditions of membership in the European Union

The process of formation of the theory of functions of the state is researched in the dissertation, concepts and features of functions of the state are specified. Initial condition of beginning and factors of development of European integration are analyzed; the legal nature of the European Union is specified, principles of interrelations between the EU and member states concerning realization of functions of the state are revealed. Specific character of realization of main internal functions (function of protection and defense of rights and liberties of a person and a citizen, economic and social function) of EU member states is researched. The author gives scientific conclusions, directed at realization of specific character of functions of the state under conditions of membership in the European Union as supra-state organization of power, which will contribute to realization of sequences of Ukraine's joining this organization.
