Essay

The thesis focuses on the style theory of Horatio. Systematic linguostylistic analysis of 103 odes is performed on all language levels. Sound imitation and lexical recurrence are thoroughly analyzed. Their role in poetic images' creating has been revealed. Stylistic functions of lexical means of figurativeness, systematic phenomena in lexics, lexico-phraseological means and morphologic peculiarities of odes as well as stylistic functions of word-formation are looked upon in the dissertation. Stylistic devices' functioning has been also thoroughly analyzed as well as architectonic language structures.
