This dissertation is devoted to pharmacognostical studies of overground parts of Тaraxacum officinale and elaborating methods of analyzes of biological active compounds (BAC). The qualitative composition and quantitative contents of the basic group BAC in leaves and flowers of Тaraxacum officinale were investigated. 45 substances of flowers were identified and 3 flavonoid and 4 derivatives hydrocinnamic acid were isolated and their structures were determined. 35 substances of leaves were identified and 3 flavonoids and 4 derivatives hydrocinnamic acid were isolated and their structures were determined. Modern methods of the analysis Тaraxacum officinale BAC were developed and the comparative analysis of their contents in leaves, flowers and roots was carried out. Projects of the ANDs for raw materials “Тaraxacum leaves”, “Тaraxacum flowers”, “Тaraxacum roots” and plant mixture “Cardiosed” were developed. It was established, that extracts of leaves and flowers of Тaraxacum officinale concerns to practically nontoxical substances and has anti-inflammatory and antioxidative activities. The opportunity of using chicoric acid, contained in all parts of a Тaraxacum officinale, as a marker of a dandelion at analysis of plant mixtures was shown.
