Gonza R. Surgical treatment of cosmetic defects of breast

During 2000-2007 years we have inspected and medically treated 226 patients in age from 19 to 50 years with the cosmetic defects of mammary [lactiferous] gland (hypomastia - 87, normomastia with ptosis - 95, hypermastia with ptosis - 44). The results of treatment are traced by means of inspection and questionnaire in such terms: 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 36 months.At implementation of operative interferences in a control group: subglandular endoprosthesis and different kinds of "traditional" mammoplastics (on McKissock - 4, Pitanguy-Ribeiro - 27, Strombeck - 5) quantity of "good" results diminishes gradually, and makes at treatment a hypomastia on the 36th month - 35.7%, normomastia with ptosis - 41.2%, hypermastia with ptosis - 30.0%. The optimum methods of surgical treatment of ptosis is: at normomastia with ptosis - mammoplastics with endoprosthesis by the developed method; at hypermastia with ptosis - mammoplastics by the developed method. At a hypomastia we gave advantage to implementation of submascular endoprosthesis. Observance, developed by us, differentiated approach of surgical treatment of cosmetic defects of mammary [lactiferous] gland, with the use of the developed methods of operative interferences, provides the twice greater percent (76.5% against 36.4%, р<0.001) of "good" results.
