Essay

The dissertation deals with the solution of the scientific task pertaining to the pathogenesis of the tubulo-interstitial syndrome as the basis of the development of a chronic and rapidly progressing pathological process in the cortical, medullary substance and the renal papilla under the conditions of chronic Masugi nephritis. Changes of the activity of succinate dehydrogenase and alkaline phosphatase in the proximal and distal segment of the nephron tubules, an increase of the blood plasma consentration of tumour necrosis factor-alpha have been corroborated; the development of secondary destruction of the connective tissue has been biochemically substantiated and that has been corroborated by an increase of free urinary oxyproline, mosaicism of changes of tissue protheolisis, fibrinolysis, lipid peroxidation, antioxidant protection and oxidative protein modification.
