Essay

This thesis examines the evolution of Franco-german partnership in the European integrational processes in the second half of XX - beginning of the XXI century. The thesis contains the summary of the existing theoretico-conceptual basis of Franco-german relations. The impact of the cold war on the formation of the political base of Franco-german relations during the postwar period was proven to be of considerable influence. It was established that the principal role in approach of the Rhein neighbours was played by presence of communistic danger and establishment of economical cooperation in the strategical spheres - coal and steel producing. The feature of bilateral relations was shaped by Bonn's preference of Paris, in realization of its United Europe idea. Paris and Berlin also introduced the common meetings of the governments of both countries in the format of the Frnco-German Concil of Ministers and achieved the domination of the Franco-german conception of the enlarged EU reformation. The creation of the alliances to the functional feature, being able to obtain in the frame of the enforced cooperation the fast progress either in the certain spheres of the European integration or in some questions of the world policy was the innovation of the common Franco-german strategy in the EU. That is why the thesis analized in detail, the examples of the Franco-german initiative enlargement by including to it Poland, Russia and Great Britain.
