Kyselova O. Prognosis of the beginnings and course of CNS-leukemia in patients with acute leukemia.

In the thesis clinical and hematological features of the acute lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemia (ALL&AML) patients with and without CNS-leukemia are indicated. Serum and liquor thymidine kinase (TK) were investigated and correlation between clinical, hematological features of leukemia and TK level in blood serum and liquor on the different stage of decease was marked. It was proved expedient and reliable using of additional prognosis criteria for the beginnings and course of CNS-leukemia on the basis of TK level in blood serum and liquor. Taking into consideration the proposed prognosis criteria, some schemes of observation of the pathological changes in central nervous system in acute leukemia patients were worked out, which gives an additional possibility to correct the treatment strategy.
