Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of the self-esteem influence on the formation of the personality of young man or woman. Complex influence of qualitative and quantitative indexes of the self-esteem on the formation of personality characteristics of the students of the higher educational institution is presented. The complex of the methods of the investigation of the levels of the self-esteem is selected and tested; general and individual peculiarities of the development of the separate structure complexes of the system of the self-esteem are fixed; the levels of the self-esteem are described. The results of the investigation provide new knowledge mechanism of the function of the self-esteem as the component of the system of the regulation of person's behavior and actions.
