Research Object: National forest policy of Ukraine. Research Objective: The improvement of theoretical foundations and methodological approaches to the analysis of forest sector in order to evaluate and formulate the national forest policy. Research Methods: Economic and mathematical modeling, quantitative and qualitative analysis, induction and deduction, statistics. Scientific Novelty: For the first time substantiated - application of theoretical economic model for the analysis of economic, environmental and social effects from the increase in stumpage charges on the level of silvicultural efforts, forest area, forest stock and harvest level; for the first time applied - computable partial equilibrium model of supply and demand of the Ukrainian forest sector; for the first time developed - alternative scenarios of the Ukrainian forest sector, in particular scenarios of intensive and social forest management; improved - principles of the Ukrainian forest policy, in particular principles of forest policy analysis and formulation are developed. Implementation: Research results are used in Lviv regional forest and hunting management administration to improve and apply regional forest policy. Research results are also used in teaching academic courses "Forest Economics" and "Forest Policy" at Bachelor and Master level in National Forestry University of Ukraine.
