The dissertation researched and theoretically substantiated the essence of the ecological and economic foundations of the balanced development of the forest sector and deepened the content of the definitions according to the subject of the study. A conceptual approach and principles regarding formation have been developed and scientifically substantiated the system of ecological and economic foundations of the balanced development of the forest sector as a system of normative-legal, adaptation-instrumental and optimization-target support. The theoretical and methodological ones are substantiated the principles of the ecological and economic foundations of the balanced development of the forest sector. The theoretical and methodological approach to the analysis and assessment of the level of balanced development of the forest sector of the Podilsk Economic District has been improved. An ecological and economic analysis of the current state and existing problems was carried out balanced development of the forest sector of Podilsk Economic District. The logistics of sources of financing measures for the balanced development of the forest sector are proposed. The theoretical and methodological approach to assessment of the level of the basics of balanced development of the forest sector of Podilsk Economic District based on indicators of ecological, economic and social development. The strategic imperatives of the ecological and economic foundations of the balanced development of the forest sector of the Podilsk Economic District have been developed and scientifically substantiated. The directions of development and stages of implementation of the Concept are substantiated, as well as the imperatives of the ecological and economic foundations of a balanced development of the forest sector. An algorithm for assessment and monitoring of the ecological and economic foundations of the development of the forest sector has been developed. An organizational and economic management mechanism for the development of the forest sector was developed in the context of ecological and economic foundations and the directions for its implementation were substantiated.
