Object is opposition as subject of political process; the aim is a comprehension of political opposition as an institute of democracy and subject of political process of modern Ukrainian society; methods - system, functional, comparative, historical, political simulation, normatively-legal, scientific-wide methods; novelty - forming features and becoming of political opposition in Ukraine taking into account world experience are complex analysed; results - specified and systematized typology and the features of political opposition activity models are certain depending on the type of the political regime; it is introduced in a research sphere, educational courses on political science; fields - vocational training, the theory of politics, political practice.
