TThe dissertation deals with the development of ways and techniques for designing of extraosseous osteosynthesis devices. Methods for designing of new devices for long bone extraosseous osteo-synthesis are developed, theoretical and experimental evaluation of the strength and the rigidity of flat extraosseous plates and multiplanar fastening plates was made; new limited contact damping devices for extraosseous osteo-synthesis were suggested and constructed, substantiation of the forms and sizes of the developed and suggested designs of extraosseous fixation devices was made. Equipment and methods were developed for experimental evalua-tion of strength and rigidity of metal extraosseous fixation system designs under influence of simple and complex loads allowing designing of biome-chanically founded biotechnical systems with necessary strength and rigidity. Mathematical modelling of deflected mode of the biotechnical systems 'bone - fixation device' under various load types are made in the dissertation;the model of damaged bone with transverse diaphyseal fracture fixed with a metal plate was developed; stresses and movement in bone and plate material at various deformation types were evaluated.
