Trush O. Syntax of Ivan Franko's scientific speech (complex sentence).

The thesis focuses on structural and semantic analysis of complex syntactic constructions in Ivan Franko's scientific speech. The work analyzes frequency of usage and types of elementary and non-elementary poly-predicative structures, reveals the range of linking words between predicative parts of complex sentences and traces their dynamics in scientific texts. The thesis characterizes sense relations between the components of elementary and non-elementary composite structures. The thesis considers author's corrections in scientific texts on the syntactic level which are markers of the constant writer's work on improving their syntactic organization. The conclusion is made about Ivan Franko's contribution to elaborating scientific style of the Ukrainian language and improving its syntax.
