. It is proven, that development of musical capabilities is carried out by perfection of perceptive and reproductive intercommunications of components of musical hearing /ear and emotional review of music by the use of musical-intellectual processes. Influence of singing and folk music on development of musical capabilities in children in the sixth year of life is explored.The psychological circumstances of the development of musical capabilities are exposed in the children of senior preschool age: activization of the child’s emotional reaction to music; actualization of perceptive and reproductive bases of musical capabilities; rise of cognitive interest in music during classes; organization of effective activity of adults and children of senior preschool age in the process of musical activity; development of musical hearing by means of folk music; development of vocal capabilities in the process of singing activity.
