Topic of the thesis is investigation of peculiarities of blood flow disturbances of lower extremities at atherosclerotic occlusions of femoro-popliteal-tibial segment in diabetic patients and elaboration of differential approach to choice of method of revas-cularization of lower extremities witch is directed on improvement of treatment results. Diabetic patients suffer atherosclerotic lesions of arteries 10 - 12 years earlier and intermittent claudication 4 - 7 times more frequently, than at patients without dia-betes mellitus do. Occlusive lesions of arteries of lower extremities are 16 -58 % more frequent in diabetic patients. Suggested approach to choice of method of surgical revascularization of athero-sclerotic occlusions of femoro-popliteal-tibial segment in diabetic patients allows to achieve positive early results in 80,0 % and positive late results in 65,6 % of cases. The work is a new step by the way of resolution of the problem of diagnostic and choice of method of surgical treatment in diabetic patients with chronic blood flow disturbances of lower extremities.
